Well done to all the teams the took part last week at the North East Masters Road Relay Champs over at Jarrow. The venue is the same as the one used by the Harrier League for XC however swapping grass, mud and hills for a lovely soft tarmac path. Teams were divided into age groups each member running 2 laps of a 3.2K leg on the paths that wind through the park. The Bounders managed to win bronze medals in the 35-44 category for both men and woman. Thanks to Stewy Bell for sorting out the entries and arranging the car share to the event. The masters events are really competitive and are open to both men and woman 35 and over. There are lots of events over the summer so why not come along and have a go. If you are interested give Stewy, Ian or Sarah a shout and they will give you advice on the format and how to join the North East Masters.
