29 June 2018 – ‘Come Fly your Kite’ Social Run – Apologies for the name this is the best Mike Swainson could come up with at short notice :)

This run replaces the very popular run down to Gibside that are normally held but due to changes within Gibside NT these are no longer possible, without incurring an entry fee into the grounds.

The plan is to meet at Ebchester Station for a 6.30pm start and continuing down the line to the Red Kite Pub in Winlaton. The run is very social and will be at your own pace, no one will get left behind, and it is also a great way to meet other members.  Food  (and alcohol) is available to purchase at the Red Kite.  You must arrange your own transport back from Winlaton.  For any further information please contact Mike Swainson

A bus has been arranged to transport runners to and from Blaydon Race.  The bus will leave Ponds Court (next to McDonalds) at 1.15pm prompt and drop runners at the start.  The bus will return as soon as the last runner is on the bus, approximately 4.45pm (ish).  Seats are £5 per person, money must be transferred into the Bounders account to confirm your seat.  Names to Amanda please at mandums@Hotmail.com . We need names as soon as possible so that suitable bus sizes can be confirmed.

REMINDER – The second pub run in the series takes place on Thursday 10th May meeting at Snods Village Hall 6.30 pm – following the old Snods 6 route, with a mixture of road and trail.  We will finish with drinks in the Crown & Cross Swords , Shotley Bridge.  Thank you to Tricia Collins for organising, any questions please contact Tricia.  Thank you

Mike Swainson has kindly organised a bus to transport runners to the start and collect them at the finish. The bus will leave Ponds Court at 8.15am prompt. The bus will drop you off at the start and head to the finish, therefore bags can be left on the bus.

After the race we will all head back to The Cliff pub for a couple of drinks, food can also be purchased in the pub, they do a delicious Sunday lunch. The bus is set to return at 3.30pm.

The cost is £5 per adult, children go free. This must be transferred into the Bounders account to confirm your seat.
